Smith-Marriott Baronets
The Smith, later Smith-Marriott Baronetcy, of Sydling St Nicholas in the County of Dorset, is a title in the Baronetage of Great Britain. It was created on 1 June 1774 for John Smith, High Sheriff of Dorset in 1772. The second Baronet married Elizabeth Anne, daughter of Reverend James Merriott. The fourth Baronet assumed by Royal sign-manual the additional surname of Marriott. The fifth Baronet was High Sheriff of Dorset in 1873.

- Sir Edmund Charles Wyldbore Smith (1877-1938), son of Reverend Francis Smith, fourth son of the second Baronet, was a civil servant, diplomat, and businessman.
- Hugh Deane Wyldbore-Smith (1907-1941), grandson of Reverend Francis Smith, was a Captain in the Royal Navy and died aboard HMS Hood 24th May 1941.
- Sir Brian Wyldbore-Smith CB, DSO, OBE (1913-2005), great-grandson of Reverend Francis Smith, was a Major-General in the Royal Horse Artillery and the 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars, and following retirement from the Army was member (and subsequently director) of the Board of Finance of the Conservative Party (1970-1992).[1]
- Sir Clifford Heathcote-Smith (1883-1963), grandson of Major Edward Heathcote Smith, seventh son of the second Baronet, was a diplomat.
- The fifth baronet's grandson, Robert Henry Cooper, married a neice of Zog I of Albania.
